We’re looking for an experienced, reliable groom to take sole day-to-day care of two much-loved retired polo ponies on a private yard in Iver, Buckinghamshire.

This is an independent role of approximately 2½ hours per day, with flexibility around hours. You’ll largely manage your own routine, so we’re looking for someone confident, organised and experienced with horses who takes real pride in their standards of care.

The role includes feeding, grooming, rugging, turning out and bringing in, mucking out when required, and keeping the stables, tack room and yard clean and beautifully maintained.

The ponies live out whenever conditions allow and are stabled overnight during colder or severe weather, so the routine changes naturally with the seasons.

There is no riding or formal exercise required. However, if you’re an experienced and confident handler, there may be the opportunity to take them for occasional walks in hand.

This could suit an experienced groom looking for a flexible part-time position, or someone semi-retired who would enjoy taking responsibility for two horses on a quiet private yard.
